A Little About Me

Gigi, born and raised in Poland, showcased her artistic flair from a tender age.
Despite her early passion, she ventured into accountancy, temporarily setting aside her art amidst the political tumult of 1970s Poland as the nation grappled with communism. Enduring these challenging circumstances consumed much of her time and focus. In 1980, Gigi relocated to Alberta, only to return to Europe in the late 90s to study under the esteemed Spanish artist, Nunez Segura, honing her unique style. By 2001, she had resettled in Alberta, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to her artistic pursuits.



Gigi's art finds inspiration in the grandeur of European architecture, the vibrancy of street scenes, and the captivating narratives etched on the faces of individuals. Her works often capture moments teeming with life and intricacies a scene of a mother and son feeding pigeons in a bustling plaza, or a gondolier guiding tourists through the enchanting canals of Venice. Employing pastels, charcoals, acrylics, and oils, Gigi has showcased her talent through various mediums. Notably, she exhibited a collection of her art deco paintings at Presently residing in Vegreville, Alberta, Gigi continues to expand her collection, drawing inspiration from her surroundings and experiences.
